I have a golden (Jake) that is an OUTSIDE dog only and he wouldn't be happy any other way. He is very much a part of our family. He not only gets lots of attention from our family but all the kids in our neighborhood. He has two best freinds Abby (the boxer) and Bailey (the Jack Russell). He has a huge custom made dog house that matches our home and it is very warm and it keeps him dry...so he is not exposed to "the elements". IMO I think that it is cruel to keep a large dog in a kennel for long periods of time. At least my dog can run and play all day. Jake is always happy and playing and he doesn't want to come in the house. We also have an outside cat.
