Is there a medical reason that your dog needs to be a vegetarian? Liver compromised dogs are usually vegetarians, and they can more than definitely do well on this type of diet. My yorkie has thrived on a vegetarian diet whereas a meat based diet was killing him because of his liver condition.
If your baby is healthy, then Dr. Pitcairn has a few vegetarian recipes in his book that you might try, but I wouldn't recommend them for a liver compromised dog.
