congrats to you & Toby. Lowering the prednisone may have helped with his hearing if it has some of the same side effects on animals that it has on humans...my sister has been on & off of prednisone several times & the last time she noticed a hearing loss & went back to her Dr. He took her back off the prednisone and her hearing gradually came back to normal.
