In my opinion, registering the dog is only a personal preference. Its nice to have and the pedigrees are fun to look at. But if you ever want to compete in conformation, rally, or other AKC events, you will need to have him registered. Thats always a great way to spend quality time with you baby and have lots of I fun and meet nice people.
Yes it would but not all people want to microchip so it seems to me its better than no paperwork on the dog
