If I were you I would put the create in your room with the door shut till you know if he can be trusted to hold it through the night. I would give him a nice comfy blanket, (I put a dog bed in ours) so they can stay warm and snuggle up!
I have a water bottle (like a rabbit bottle) that hangs off the out side of the cage and the nozzle goes in the cage so they can drink but not dump their water.
