I use a grinder all the time now and never clip nails. They get used to the noise and really don't mind anymore. The know they will gewt a treat after they are done....
It is fool proof after you learn how to use it and when to stop. There is a black spot which it the tip of the quick and if you stop there they never bled.
With the grinder there are never sharp edges either!!!
