I use stainless steel bowls,, mornings they get some canned food,, i wash as soon as they are done,, but their dry food is free feed and also in stainless bowls,, i wash every 3 or 4 days on average,, as for their water, we have a Drinkwell Water Fountain,, (which we love),, have had it over a year now,, got it after we got Daisy,, she drinks A LOT compared to just Cricket,, the fountain i add to daily, take up and clean every week or so,, cleaning the filter then,, and replacing as needed,, which isnt too often ,, its stays nice and clean,, Daisy and Trixie will lap from the bowl most of the time,, but Miss Cricket only drinks from the running water,, lol,, Miss Priss,, who was raised on bottled water!
