I'm with you, my kids & dogs wouldn't be outside because I wouldn't be outside. I can't believe these people let their children non chalantly play in a yard where a python had been seen. I know it's a different environment & seeing those kinds of snakes probably aren't uncommon, but it would still freak me out. Mark this down has another place I can't live. I just can't stand snakes.
I remember a guy telling me once that I could out run a python which means a dog could too, which means they must have been letting the dog get very very close to this snake without concern for it's safety.
