Sorry to hear about the loss of the pup, glad momma came out okay though and the other two pups.
Did the vet say what he thought was wrong.Just not good enough contractions?
We had a litter of six here last time, one sac showed no pup for awhile so I checked her could feel nothing then out popped another sac- so off to the vets he checked her and another sac popped out so now we had 3 sacs, after he checked her she had some green discharge I knew that was not good-we did a section and all pups survived I was suprised after that green discharge for their was quite a bit of it,the first pup was turned sideways ,that was the problem.

Green discharge is normal, but not if it is very dark green. He said that green dicharge is the breaking away of the sac and things getting ready. The problem was one the first pup had its head caught in the path and the one pup that did not make it had its stomach opened.
