No you are not an idiot. I didn't buy from a pet store or a breeder...I rescued my little guy Brinkley & he did come from a puppy mill where the rescue had gotten him
& we are on our 4th medication in 4 weeks, and his cough still hasn't gone away...we just got a new medication yesterday. It's hard to find a trustworthy place or person to buy from nowadays. It was just our choice to rescue one. But I think no matter where you may get your new little ones from they can always come up with something wrong....they are little & seem to be susceptible little colds & infections & viruses. This is the place to be though for answers & questions. Half the time I can just read through the posts & find the question already on here that I had. Good luck with Mascot!
