Sounds like the best for you and Cash until you are back on your feet. Don't know where in Texas you are but if you don't like the boarding place you found and are close to Denton, we have a place here called Bed Bisquit & Beyond (940-566-4748) & they are great. They do boarding, training, grooming, etc. My neighbor took her yorkie & her english bulldog there for training/boarding and they were potty trainied in a week.
