Understood (and agreed ) You know, though it wasn't in my mind when I wrote my earlier post, I am now thinking of the people who come on here and say, 'my vet assured me that it was ok to breed my 3 lb. female. What do I need for whelping?' In cases like this, though I definitely do NOT agree with breeding a 3 lb. female, I can understand how they would go with what their vet says, as opposed to a bunch of strangers on a website. Not that they don't listen, but to them, their vet is the only expert they have personal contact with. In instances like this, where they are getting conflicting information, I think many times they do listen and make their decision. It's just too bad that they don't have good advice from the professionals they trust--most people naturally trust their vet.

My, this thread has gotton off-topic!
