As much as we treat our dogs like people, they are not human. They don't get attached to their puppies like we would our children. They have a natural instinct to mother their young and care for them, but then they are ready for them to move on and start their own lives. I've been around some dogs and their older puppies...they are ready for them to go LOL. If dogs felt the same way humans did about their children, they wouldn't breed with them if given the opportunity (dogs will mate with their offspring or parents if they are around..). It's just not the same

Purchasing from backyard breeders, pet shops, and puppymills perpetuates the suffering of other dogs.
Educate yourself and buy from reputable breeders or rescue.
