When my boyfriend and I broke up, there was no questions who Coco would be with because he can barely take care of himself and he said he knew he wouldn't take care of her like I do. He still comes over and plays with her or watches her for a few hours if I'm busy. I think sometimes the other person doesn't really want the pets, they just want to hit the other person where it hurts.
