Along with having my breeding stock evaluated, it is kind of like asking someone why do you play basket ball or why do you like to play golf? It's something that I enjoy doing from time to time. I don't care what my peers think about it. It's for me and my daughter.
And yes it can certainly be a thrill when a dog you've worked so hard with does well. Anyone who is passionate about any kind of activity gets a thrill from it when they do well in their chosen field.
Showing dogs of any breed is a sport. That didn't really sink in with me a couple years ago when I first started...until I had to have my first shot of cortisone in my knee. |
