I am SO NERVOUS!! Molly is in for her spay right now and what keeps coming back to haunt me is that the vet I took her to when I first got her at 16 weeks for her final series of shots thought that Molly was only 10 weeks old based on her teeth and her tinyness. The breeder and the breeders vet assured me that Molly is indeed the age they told me, just a tiny like her dad and siblings.

What if that vet was right and Molly is only 4 months old now and not almost 6 months old? She weighs 2.5 lbs and we are having the pre-op blood work done. If by chance she is only 4 mos. old, can she be spayed safely?

I just have to believe she is older. When we got her at 16 weeks, she was already staying dry through the night, that wouldn't be likely at 10 weeks would it? Her hair on her head had like 3/4-1" of silver roots already.

I'm nervous - anyone want to give me a pep talk and tell me everything will be alright?

P.S. Everyone at this vet just loves her and said she'll likely not get set down because everyone will want to snuggle with her. The receptionist was holding her when I left and the anesthesiologist called with a few more questions and said Molly was snuggled under her sweater. She also said she would call me when Molly was out of surgery.
