I understand what you are saying, however as Ladyhawk described, dogs have a different attitude than we do. It's true that if they were human it would be a cruel thing. And, although we sometimes treat them as if they are human

, the reality is that they are not. Dogs have a different type of connection with their pups than we do with our babies. They do not bond with them in the same way. Truly loving our furbabies means that we also respect their inherent traits as dogs, not try to make them into humans.

(I have to admit I am guilty of this at times as well)
