Hasn't the vet popped it back into place & strapped it up to try to get it to stay there?
Have you thought of getting a second opinion?

Seeing a vet isn't like us being registered with a GP.
You can ring any vet surgery, make an appointment & go & see them. there's no law against it, you pay your money & you take your choice!

I've changed vets before when there was reason.
When my cat was run over the vet I was with wouldn't give me an appointment for 2 days! I rang a different surgery & they asked me to bring her in straight away & operated the same day, saved her life.
