When A.J had to wear one, he was able to eat on his own after the first day or so. He just had to learn to put the cone over the food dish.
By the end of the two weeks that he wore it, he acted like it didn't even bother him anymore. He started using is a scoop to pick up toys, crums, and anything else that fell on the floor!
