If you feel confident enough to clip her hair then go for it..trim off the mats first and make sure you can comb through it after the mats are gone..how short do you want to go?? Find a setting on the clippers that is the length you want and start clipping..you can scissor around the face and paws though..maybe see if you can find a grooming video online..like youtube or something like that..maybe she just needs a little trim with scissors but will probably need to be evened out after you trim out the mats..a good conditioner is a must when trying to get the mats out...IF you want to try to comb them out..
