Gus is long and very skinny. He is eleven months, about 4 1/2 pounds and 12 inches from neck to tail. I worried about it too but my vet said he is perfectly healthy - he just has a high metabolism. If you are concerned ask the vet at your next visit but it sounds like she is fine.
