kennel cough is a virus...... the bacteria that couse it can die and the cough can last up to 4 months (this is an extreme case..... ) my baby had kennel cough too and it lasted about a month and a half, i didnt get any antibiotics for him though, the vet decided it was mild enough to just run its course and i was also told that if given teh antibiotics the cough would last longer (i dunno why? does anyone know the truth on that one????) i just used plain childrens robitussin for toby |
