Wow! What a close call!!!! I am so glad that you were right there and was able to snatch up little Lucy in time -- and I am really glad that they were intimidated by Buddy's size. I know you were absolutely terrified.
We have had what I consider to be close calls, let the dogs out, they ran towards the fence playing and then I heard the hawk scream. I snatched the kids up took them inside and THEN saw the hawk sitting in a tree just above the fence where the dogs were sniffing. Even that was way too clsoe for comfort. Before anyone goes outside now, I always "scout" the treeline and the sky for birdies. |
