We had a boston come into the animal hospital that came from a puppy mill. A rescue organization brought her in, called her Henny Penny. She didnt know what grass was, couldnt walk completely right because she was used to being caged 24/7. Her one nipple was HUGE because it was one of 2, and eventually the only one, that made milk for her tons and tons of babies. It almost touched the ground when she walked
I just loved her. I would take her outside and try to get her to run around. She made a lot of progress just in the week she was with us. I loved her but she was very dog aggressive and wouldnt have gone well in our home. I think of her a lot.
I love watching dogs make progress that have come from not so great homes like that. Its sad that they have gone through what they have. It amazes me that they can still be so forgiving after all of that.
