Wow...that's awesome that you don't have shelters overflowing with unwanted pooches of any breed.
I would consider the lack of homeless pets to be a very GOOD thing.
My friend/neighbor is actually getting a Shih Tzu in 2 weeks from a lady I know who works in toy breed rescue that I introduced her too. In my area, Shih Tzu's seem to be another breed find their way to rescues, paying the price for being a mass bred fad.  |
Oh we do have overflowing dog shelters, am just saying that it is very rare to find a yorkie in them. Actually I went to the dog race track at the weekend, and it made me think about all those unwanted greyhounds, you no after they have finished racing, they end up in shelters. I asked hubby to think about adopting 1, he said I was nuts, that we wouldnt have any room left on our bed.
. But all joking aside, It is something i would really love to do.
Also a lot of people around my area have, Shih,tzus. the place is overloaded with them. A lady who lives behind me let hers sit at the front door alday long, you know wonder about. And she wonders why it went MISSING.
