Never had a problem with the ones from jeffers...matter of fact my 3 year old had to go pee bad and his silly sister was using the bathroom and jokingly told him to pee on the pad...sure enough he did. No leaks...lol. Boy did I want to smack them both up.
If your pup doens't care much for the pad you can always take one and wipe up his mistake so his smell is on it. Then take him to the pad and let him smell it and tell him that is where you want him to potty. That is what I do.
