I totally agree, do not tie them up, do not leave unattended. Buy a playpen with extentions, then you can get some air while they do their business. Mine only go in our fenced yard when we are with them, and even then I have my yard sectioned off. In the winter, they have to settle for pee pads and occasional trips to the garage, (more pee pads) or the patio which is fenced in. I swear my house is more dog proof than it was kid proof.....seems that way anyway...
