| yes,, i waited on Crickets spay surgery because she was so small,, vet even wanted to wait,, and lots of tinys dont come in season,, or rarely,, and much later,, but Cricket came in at age 9 months!!still i waited then for months before we did her surgery,, simply because of her tiny size,, we never planned to breed her,,, but hoped not to have to do the surgery, ,but then discovered (Vet told me) they still run a much greater risk of mammary cancers with not being spayed,, so yes,, if you arent breeding,, i say spay early & Go with Laser surgery if at all possible for your area!! HUGE difference in recovery time and lack of pain! |
