invest in a fence...my yorkies have been attacked by a pit bull (mine were leashed and with me) and I've seen yorkies die that were attacked and couldn't get away.....
never leave your yorkie unattended...hawks are a real threat...I've seen them carry off a cat not much smaller than my little guy....and you know cats are real smart about such things...
