If you are doing it for the betterment of the breed then you have to remember there are shots, food, testing, bedding, electricity, water, more vet bills, tail docking and dewclaws, stud fees, ect....so that amount drops yet again. What if a puppy gets sick that's another vet appt and the gas you have to pay to go to the vet. What if you keep those pups longer than planned, more food, water, bedding ect...amount drops again....ok say you got about 4000 left then with that you have to reinvest in the next litter and pay more stud fees, vet bills and by the end of the year I'm willing to bet you didn't actually make money...
