Wow..he sounds a bit like my Piper. She does use her piddle pad properly now..but the funny thing is that you can't look at her while she is "going". Apparently she likes her privacy. I am not sure if it is because the training I did said to "throw a party" and whoop and say yay and make it all exciting when they do the right thing...maybe she hated that? Now she piddles on the pad, then sits on the floor next to the pad until I notice, or she comes and finds me. She gets a teeny little treat every time. Also I say the word "hurry up"...not loudly now...when she goes. She understands what that word means and has actually left the more than once after hearing those words to visit her piddle pad. She's 9mos now and this is a fairly recent change. I thought she'd never learn. But I wonder if your little guy is afraid of maybe the praise part? I know that sounds silly, but it sure seemed to be the case with Piper. |
