I tried making quiche last night and it came out terrible -- way too watery. I want to make a spinach, mushroom and mozzarella cheese quiche but I want it to be nice and thick. Does anyone have a good recipe for quiche?
I know that once you have the main ingredients down (like how many eggs, heavy cream, etc.) you can add or subtract any veggies you want. I can make variations of quiches like asparagus and shrimp or spinach, onion and mushroom. I just need to get the main ingredients right.
I've looked on-line but there are so many different versions and they are a bit confusing. Like some recipes use half and half while others use heavy cream. Some recipes use sour cream while others use mayonnaise. Some recipes use ricotta cheese, others swiss cheese, others sharp cheddar and then others use mozzarella. Some call for 2 eggs and then others call for 8 eggs!!

So you can see what I am confused lolol

HELP!
Also, I use an unbaked pie crust as the shell. So don't worry about giving me recipes to make my own pie crust ... that's too much work for me! lol
THANKS IN ADVANCE to all you wonderful cooks!
PS - Some recipes use frozen spinach and others use FRESH spinach. I'd prefer to use fresh veggies if possible but I'm willing to try any of your recipes. I can always edit them later on and use fresh veggies once I make them a few times.
