Well, the problem is the dog will get bred and the breeders will muck it up as it's all about money. When there will be a trend to not dock tails there will be less pain for these poor pups that might not make it, because they someone messes with their tails. I don't think it should be outlawed I think the practice should be abandoned altogether. Seriously would you want your finger cut even though it maybe hurts just 5 seconds? I don't think so.
God gave them tails, it's better for them to have it.
One thing is having ears pierced and one having tail cut. We don't really know if it hurts the dog or not. They are tiny puppies they will not say ouch it hurts. We assume it doesn't hurt them much. But it doesn't improve their quality of life and there's no reason for it.
