I've finally decided to institute another round of potty training for my boys, ages 2 and 3. The 3 year old is not neutered, and thus, marks in the house. The 2 year old is very well trained, but lately I have caught him peeing in the house also. They both go outside to potty - just not all of the time.
I am making them wear belly bands in the house and then we take them off and take the boys outside frequently and reward them for peeing outside.
My question is about wearing belly bands all the time. When we take them off, they seem to spend lots of time licking (you know where
).
Are the belly bands irritating them? For those whose boys wear belly bands in the house, do you use a special kind of pad? Is there any risk of infection? Do you have any tips for boys who have to wear them all the time?
