I agree its crazy and thats one reason I do them myself. The other reason I prefer to do them myself is it is so much easier on the puppies and mom then taking them into a vets office with who knows what diseases they can be exposed too. I love my vet but prices here are outrageous. I just paid 2200.00 for an emergency c-section at the after hours vet hospital for Peanut a few weeks ago, so I know how bad out prices are first hand.
