Hi, My name is Leila I'm new here. I make doggie clothes, like a lot of you and I make doggie clothes patterns. I'm 49 and have gone into a holding pattern, I'm not really sure about handling that 50 thing yet. I have one daughter (Nickie) who is 25 and is the light of my life. And, one yorkie (Winston) who is my model, shadow and inspiration in my designs. He saved me from the empty nest syndrome when my daughter left for college. She got him when she was 16, he was supposed to be a bloodhound. Thank goodness Nickie changed her mind when she seen him. I can't imagine a bloodhound laying in the windowsill, where Winston lays, next to me, while I work on the computer. Or, sleeping on top of me at night. Or for that matter dressed up in a doggie dress and bonnet!
I have a little introduction game and would like to invite you to play. All you do is make a poem from your furbaby's name. Using the letters of his name as the first letter of each line of your poem. I'll start by doing Winston.

Wondering in a forest green
In pretty puppy clothes were seen
Not one little yorkie, but two
Sweet little puppies, chewing on a shoe
They were politely asked
Of the reason for their task
Neither answered, but said, "Hi! How are you?"
