I understand you completely. We also raised goats, but we had Boers. At one time we had around 200 of them. We finally sold them all this fall when our Alfalfa crop went to ... well I can't say it nicely!
Btw... the bands for castrating are called Elastrator bands! The tool you use to put them on is an Elastrator. I'm SO glad we don't do that to puppies!
