I mean he knows where to go to get water.. and food .. he knows where to go for his toys... why cant he get where to go when he needs to potty..????

I am planning on going back to the beginning and starting over with him.. I just hate to confine him to kitchen when we are home .. and we have a pretty open floor plan so it is hard to gate off ...

Any Suggestions??????
Was thinking about it and wanted to get everyones thoughts... should I bring back play pen that I originally trained Rudy in.. ?? I mean put it in the front room with us to put him and watch him better when he is not playing with us.. that way when he starts getting restless can take him out and take him to his pee pad? Thanks for your thoughts and ideas..
