Ok so I have been working with Rudy to pad train.. He is 5 months old he does great when he is confined to that area.. but when he is out and about that is another story... he just doesnt get where he needs to go to go potty... how can I get him to know where he is supposed to go when he is NOT confined...??? I mean he knows where to go to get water.. and food .. he knows where to go for his toys... why cant he get where to go when he needs to potty..????

I am planning on going back to the beginning and starting over with him.. I just hate to confine him to kitchen when we are home .. and we have a pretty open floor plan so it is hard to gate off ...

Any Suggestions??????
