When Chewy was a puppy grooming was very hard... he would bite, snarl, and move around like his life depended on getting away. I groomed him every single day. I would brush him talking calmly untill he stopped fighting. I would never stop while he was fighting me cause I didn't want him to think he was winning!
He is so easy to groom now. No more biting or wiggling around. (Including teeth brushing) The only thing I don't do is clip the nails. I pay for that to be done.
Groom often and be calm. Make it a matter of fact type thing. it took a few months for it to be EASY to groom him. But the hard work and time it took paid off.
