Kathryn,
We were fortunate enough to have gotten a rescue Yorkie that was as healthy as a horse! He was such a hearty little guy and weighed only 5 lbs. 4.5 when he first came to us. Unfortunately, we lost him on Jan. 2 when he was hit by a car. I will never forgive myself for letting it happen.
My point is, I have no idea what his background was, where he came from or even exactly how old he was, but he was the friendliest, healthiest, sweetest little man that I've ever had the pleasure of being owned by...other than my flesh and blood son

He didn't cost us a penny.
We're in the process of buying a Yorkie now from a breeder. I read about all the illnesses here and scares me to death! I never had that fear with Peanut. I hope I'm not jinxing myself.
