Mri's are clearer than a Xray but AAI can be seen on a digital Xray.. And AAI(Atlantoaxial Instability) is just not congenital.. It can be acquired.. If you would like information on this please let me know.. I can send you many articles on this.. IT is what caused Babybear's problems the AAI.. But we did not know he had it.. And is was congenital.. Please make sure you tell the vets what to do you pay them they do not pay you.. If you do not like what one vet says see someone until you feel comfortable.. You would for your children do the same for you pup.. This is a furmom and furless mom speaking from a lot of experiance..
