The books say they can't be fully trained until 6 mos of age. But my Bailey was fully trained at 5 mos. That said, I limit where she can go in the house. Its been a long & cold winter and I don't want her to wander off and find a warm quiet corner to use - so I gate her in the family/kitchen room with us at all times. Or shut the door in my bedroom in the a.m.
They say a dog will not potty in the place they consider their home. So, if you want your pup to consider the entire house as her home - you will have to spend a considerable amount of time in all rooms. Its easier for me to gate off sections when not in use.
3 days without an accident? Sounds like you're headed in the right direction - Congratulations!! I know it is a great relief!!!! At last you can begin to enjoy your furbaby without anxiety.
