Yep, I used to have a maltese that did that(even licked the air)..my shih tzu is also a big licker..don't know what to tell you, except, it's probably going to go on for the next 12-15 years..My shih tzu is almost 10 now, and has done it since she was a puppy...she can't walk past you without licking..
