Unfortunately, thats the way it goes in most places. Living on the small island of Okinawa, Japan, I didn't have the options of breeders and waiting until they were older. 8 weeks is when they are sold and most of the time they are gone by 9 or 10 weeks (if they even last that long). I got Kaba at 8 weeks and have had no problems. Most of the world sees that as normal.
