You need to have all your dogs tested for this before breeding. Your vet can take a blood sample and send it to a lab to be tested (or some vets have their own labs). Anytime you breed your male to an outside female, you need to make sure she has recently had a Brucellosis test done before breeding.

I think this site explains what Canine Brucellosis is pretty well and what the symptoms and consequences are. http://www.wildsidekennels.com/artic...ucellosis.html All dogs should be tested for this before breeding (even if it is their first time because they can be born with it if mom was infected). Better safe than sorry
