I agree with this. I travel alot with my four year old daughter and my dog. Limit their water intake and you shouldn't even have to stop. I throw a handful of food into Tucker's crate so he can eat, but and I limit the water for us all. We usually leave around 5 am. Everyone is so groggy that I can get 5 hours into my trip without ever having to stop. The only reason I stop at 5 hours is because I run out of gas LOL! Seriously, I can make a 9 hour trip and only have to stop once when I do this. I think getting a bag that can hold two is a great idea too. I usually stop a rest areas and a "no dogs" sign is always posted in the restrooms, but he comes in anyway. I can get away with this at gas stations too. Nobody notices a well disguised dog purse.
