Default Rinsing their face

I've heard so many horror stories over the years about Yorkies drowning relatively easily that I'm terrified when I try to wash their face during bath time.

That's typically the hardest place to wash because of the tearing, so I make sure I have enough soap to do a good job. It's the rinsing that scares me. How do you rinse the face thoroughly without taking a chance of them getting water into their lungs?

Or am I just being a paranoid Yorkie owner?
