I think one of the differences between them are their ears. a silkys ears are straight on top while the yorkies are further apart. I could be wrong but thats what I have noticed. as far as the size, they are bigger. which makes me think that alot of the bigger yorkies are actually mixed with silky or are in fact silkys.
