Thanks for all of the help/concerns! I truly appreciate it. I will most def. try the formula that was given. They did do a liver shunt test on her or tested what they could in her blood to test for it.. and they said that everything appeared to be normal as far as her not having liver shunt. She seems to be fine now, i posted an hr or so after i had brought her home from the vet. Throughout the night i kept giving her Nutri-Cal, vitamin drops, & regular feedings. I seem to think that may have been most of her problem now....was her not eating good. Because I had 4 pups only 2 lived...the boy is much bigger than her & has many more teeth than she does...also a much better appetite. She seems as if she can't eat hard food well so i grind it in a blender and also give science diet soft puppy food. But she really has no interest like a dog that is hungry would, she just picks..but if i hand feed it to her she'll eat more....it's weird. I am also still giving her Esiblac once a day to ensure that she gets the proper nutrition. But i thought with her being almost 11 wks that she would not need the milk and i would also have no worries about hypoglycemia...i was wrong. I am soooooo happy she made it through the night...i was scared for my life. Is there anything else I should know about yorkie health? I have 2 grown Yorkie's already, have raised both...the male i did have a problem with him but it was an accident...my little boy dropped him. Also...i had 1 litter 2 yrs ago before this and she only had 1 pup...she did the same thing to me just worse...i thought she was dead, took her to the vet her sugar was 32...she died later that night. That was before i knew anything about Nurti-Cal, hypoglycemia or anything...i got my male after the 1st litter. It just seems as if you need to know alot about Yorkie health problems when breeding or your gonna have heartbreak. |
